The Listen To Your Mother videos for every city that performed a show are up on YouTube! Okay, they’ve been up for a couple of weeks, but I’m just now getting to watch some of the other cities and let you all know about the TOTAL and COMPLETE awesomeness that was Listen To Your Mother Northwest Arkansas. In case I have not mentioned that before.
I wrote about the experience right after our show, but it’s been almost six months now and I know more.
I know that we created something real and lasting with that show. We created friendships and opportunities. The entire experience sparkled–and still does–with possibility. It’s tough to imagine that six short months ago, most of these women were not in my life in any significant way. I didn’t know their stories–and in some cases, neither did anyone else.
And then there are the friends I have that I’ve never actually met. They spoke in other cities. People like Judy Miller, a fellow parenting freelancer, and Margaret Garcia, whom I’ve “known” since my very first online writing gig at the beginning of internet time in 2007.
And then go stalk them online. They love that.
